What’s happening 26th October 2012
Hi!
We’re meeting as usual at Kinsale Community School between 7.00 and 9.00PM.
NOTE: There is no meeting on the 2nd November because of half-term.
As in past weeks there will be two groups:
- Scratch: You can continue working through the two tutorials you started last week. These are programming a Cat and Dog game or a Bat Cave game tutorials developed by Steve O’Neil (http://www.oneil.com.au/pc/scratch.html). You can download the tutorial from his web site or here: Scratch-Lesson-3 and Scratch-Lesson-2. If you’ve completed these two tutorials why not try this tutorial: parallaxscrolling. It shows how to have a scrolling background/stage in your games. This was original created by Seamus Migoue (Drogheda CoderDojo) and updated by Margaret Deegan (Clonakility CoderDoJo)
- RoboCode: Jim’s staring with the “battle simulation”, so you’ll get to see robots in action. Then, it’s on to developing your robots to make them stronger and better than your friends’.
If you can, please print out a couple of copies 🙂
Nick Grattan.
